Saltburn Cliff Lift Carriages Returned

Prior to the start of Easter Week our beloved Saltburn Cliff Lift was reunited with it's carriages, which had been holidaying in Northumberland over the winter months, whilst being given a loving refurbishment; their first since 1992. Improvements have been made to the carriages' seating promising a more comfortable ride, their stain glass windows have been sealed to help them cope with the sea air and a new intercom system has been installed to allow the passengers to speak with staff. And so with the lowering of the carriages this year's season begins. The Evening Gazette had a camera crew on hand to observe them being lifted back into place.
