A View of Saltburn from the Pier

Saltburn-by-the-Sea has been welcoming visitors for 150 years; founded in 1861 by Henry Pease, the railway pioneer, it was one of the first purpose built railway seaside resorts in the world. It still offers all you might want for either a great day out or a memorable stay: from our pier to the cliff lift to reach it to the valley gardens, which you can traverse in style on our miniature railway to walk through the Valley Gardens or the Gill or to simply reach the children's play ground to our shops and galleries in which you can browse for a memorable gift or our restaurants and cafes where you can grab a bite to eat to our holiday homes and hotels where you can put up your feet after a busy day on the beach.
